             A composer of electronic composition, film music scoring, event music scoring, experimental theatre music, rock and even dance/electronica music. A self-taught composer from beginning, he learned to compose seriously with Bruce Gaston of Fong Naam Ensemble then became a member of the group as a composer and keyboardist. In 1999, after playing with Korphai Ensemble for several times, he became a member of the group as a composer and musician. He produced numerous works such as the video presentation music score for the APEC 2003 Summit delegation in Bangkok (with JSL in 2003), “Pheesua-Samut” which he conducted Korphai ensemble at Konzerthaus Wien in Austria (2003), music numbers for the “Rachaburi Games”, Thailand sport opening and closing ceremony (with JSL in 2004), many incidentals for Patravadi Theatre stage & TV performances (since 2001).

            His latest opus include “Paroidia 1” for Saxophone Quartet (premiere Slovania - 2006), “Sonic Mandala” for 4 Saw Duangs, a percussionist and computer (2006) which performed at Thai Cultural Center in June 2006 and “Watta: Annop Chansuta ramluk” for Saxophonist, 4 percussion and 2 quadraphonic projected computers. July 28-30 2006, He performed with his laptop at New York’s Lincoln Center as a Fong Naam member in “Rak Opera”, the music-multimedia drama base on Ramayana. Rirkrit Tiravanija and Bruce Gaston are directors of the project. August 2006, the award winning film “Season Change” by GTH which he composed and directed the classical music sections launched in the Theatre all over Thailand.

            December 2006 - January 2007 The original score which he composed and produced performed along with The Water Screen Documentary Video on The Live of King Rama IX in Royal Flora Ratchaphruek Expo in Chiengmai, Thailand. In November 2007 - “The Legend of Angkor Wat”, the light and sound production on this great monument will perform, along with many Cambodian traditional arts, with Boonrut’s music. This spectacular show being produced by CM organizer of Thailand in association of Cambodia’s Bayon TV. Now he’s composing original music score for the prestige “Suphannahong Award” directed by Manop Meejamras which happened on 28th March 2010.

            Today, Boonrut is the lecturer of composition and music history at conservatory of music, Rangsit University.
